About Michelle
I started swimming when I was 3 years old and swam competitively on recreational teams, high school and club teams all throughout childhood and high school. My teammates and I broke swim records on our high school team (where Olympic Gold Medalist Summer Sanders also swam). I also played club water polo and competed in Junior Olympics. I helped lead my team to win the League Championships in swim and water polo several years.

I love teaching swim to infants, toddlers, kids and teens! I am patient and great with kids. I have taught kids swimming from scratch and also have many years of experience teaching them other subjects like art and foreign languages. I can teach kids who have never swam before all the way up to advanced swimmers who would like to perfect their technique.
My lesson plans depend on each student's age and level. For beginning swimmers, we work on become water safe first. For little ones I enjoy using creative methods like having them lift their head up to the sky like a horse. This teaches them to lift their face out of the water to take a breath. To get kids to pull their bodies through the water with their arms, I have them scoops their arms like a monkey.
I have helped numerous kids who had no swimming ability become water safe, swim the whole pool, and do fun flips underwater. I believe that every child learns at a different pace. While I strive to help your child learn something new every session, I support each child reaching milestones on their own time.
For kids who have some swimming experience, I work on building their confidence in the water. Some examples of what I teach them are dives, turns, proper breathing technique, arm, hand and foot position, backstroke, breaststroke, dolphin kick, streamline, swimming for longer periods without stopping, and backstroke starts.
I teach lessons at your home or a public pool nearby.

Perfect! My 3 and 6 year old absolutely loved their time with Ms. Michelle. She was flexible, patient, and met both kids at their skill level. My 6 year old is now swimming laps and I can’t get her out of the pool! We would work with her again without any hesitation! She comes highly recommended!
- Reese and Liam are wonderful kids. They are very sweet and fast learners. Great family!Michelle's response :
