About Mel
There is no greater joy than being in the water. Swimming is empowering and freeing, but most of all it's FUN! My love of swimming and being in the water led me to first experience teaching swimming lessons at age eleven, I taught my neighbor and friend to swim so we could swim together. Though most of my experience teaching swim is with tweens and teens, my background in pediatric chiropractic care has given me much experience working with toddlers and small children.

Teaching children and beginners is about moving at pace they feel comfortable while maintaining the feeling of safety as the push their own boundaries.
Lessons can/will advance from feeling comfortable in the water, floating, holding head under water, blowing bubbles, to treading water then to proper breathing, and proper stroke techniques.
