About Abby
I swam competitively for 15 years, coached for 4 years, and taught swim lessons for 7 years! Swimming and waterpolo have been a part of my life since I was 4 years old. I love spending time in the water, and often think I can swim better than I can walk! I’ve worked with people of all ages, skills, and backgrounds, and I love to teach, swim, and have fun all year around!

I base all my lessons on the swimmers level and age. With beginners I would work on basic life-saving skills such as floating, kicking, basic freestyle, getting comfortable in the water, and breathing skills. For intermediate swimmers, I focus on getting comfortable with freestyle and backstroke, as well as basic safety skills. And for advanced students, I focus on learning breaststroke and butterfly, distance, diving, etc. in addition, for very advanced swimmers, I can help focus on stroke technique, flip turns, and distance.
All classes are constructed to best help a specific swimmer improve and succeed. Every lesson is different, but I believe in making all lessons comfortable, fun, and successful.
