About Jin Ming
I hold a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. My academic background is heavily focused on advanced Mathematics and Physics, and I recently spent 6 months working as an Application Engineer. This industrial experience allows me to show students how the math they learn in school is actually applied in modern technology.

Hi, I’m Alex. My approach to tutoring is built on the "Engineering Mindset"—which means moving away from rote memorization and focusing on First Principles. I believe that once a student understands the "why" behind a formula, the "how" becomes second nature.
My Methodology
I use a three-step systematic approach to ensure concepts actually stick:
Logical Deconstruction: We break down complex word problems into simple, manageable parts.
Visual Learning: I use real-world engineering examples to make abstract Physics and Math concepts feel "real."
Active Practice: We focus on past-year SPM/IGCSE papers, but instead of just looking at the answer key, we analyze the logic required to get there so you can handle any questions the examiners throw at you.
Lesson Structure & Length
Typical Length: 1.5 to 2 hours per session. I find this is the "sweet spot" to cover a new concept and leave enough time for guided practice without causing mental fatigue.
Flexibility: I am available for both online sessions and physical meet-ups within the Kuala Lumpur area.
