Hi! I'm Lyndon Venezuela Raquel, and I live the Philippines. I have been teaching Filipino (Tagalog), Waray and English for 16 years now to beginners, basic users, independent users, and advanced/proficient users. I also speak Cebuano, another major language in the Philippines. It would be great to extend help to you in enhancing your Filipino (Tagalog) and Waray skills, including pronunciation, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and grammar. We can also have conversational classes on your chosen topics to cater to your needs. While in my English class, I teach non-native speakers from kids to adults: Beginning Reading to Kids, Basic Users (A1-Beginners, A2-Elementary English). I customize or prepare interesting teaching materials according to the needs of my students. I offer conversational classes to adults who are non-native speakers of the English language. I can help you with vocabulary development, reading comprehension, speaking with confidence, enunciating words, and grammar, coupled with constructive error correction. To kids, I can also teach how to read English words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. Help them too on vocabulary development, reading comprehension, speaking with confidence, grammar, and enunciating words, coupled with constructive error correction. I am a licensed professional teacher and have been teaching offline and online for sixteen years now. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Leyte Colleges, a master's degree in public management from Naval State University, and a doctorate in development education from Cebu Technological University. Completed academic units for a Master of Arts in Education at Asian Development Foundation College. I finished the TESOL Certificate Course at the TEFL Professional Development Institute and the International Open Academy. I am passionate, enthusiastic, creative, and a friendly teacher. I would always be very happy to coach, guide, and teach you. I enjoy teaching, which makes every student feel comfortable with me as their teacher, and they never feel hesitant whenever they have inquiries or need to raise questions. I am enthusiastic, which helps encourage my students to be engaged and interested in learning.

I provide tailored and designed lessons based on your needs. We can focus on vocabulary development, oral fluency, reading comprehension, enunciating words, accent reduction, sentence construction, and grammar, coupled with constructive error corrections. My teaching styles change depending on the learners. My lessons aim at improving your communication skills through meaningful discussions on various topics. In Tagalog ang Waray Lessons, aside from language learning, we can also discuss lessons about Filipino culture, life, traditions, values, traveling in the Philippines, and anything under the sun. We can also discuss varied topics according to your interest or anything you would like to talk about, and different activities like travel, destination, transport, airport, money, directions, hotels, resorts, restaurants, phone calls, eating, business, health emergencies, holidays, vacation, visiting someone, lovers' language, etc. I am Lyndon, a teacher by profession for 16 years now, and I am very passionate about learning and teaching. I graduated with a Bachelor in Education, a Master in Public Management, and a Doctor of Education. completed TESOL and TEFL courses and completed academic requirements leading to a Master of Arts in Education. I have taught students from different parts of the globe. I have taught students from elementary, high school, and university levels, from beginners to advanced. For a few years, I also worked as a mentor teacher for university student teachers doing their practicum. The thing I like most about teaching is my students. I love interacting with them, learning from them, and helping them understand the content of any course. I always plan my work before I do it. It would be nice to know your learning goals, as this would give me ideas for preparing teaching materials appropriate to your level. My hobbies are listening to music, videoke or karaoke, watching documentaries, playing sports, and traveling here in the Philippines and abroad, where I meet people from different cultural backgrounds and with different interests. My lessons and teaching styles I am capable of teaching reading to beginners. We will be learning words, phrases, and sentences. We’ll be doing dialogue practices, reading articles, poems, songs, etc. As a teacher, I am friendly, very patient, encouraging, and respectful.
