About Polina

I am a native Ukrainian speaker with a strong passion for languages and teaching. My own language journey deeply shaped the way I teach today.

When I moved to Berlin to complete my Master’s degree, I quickly realised how important it was to truly master the local language. I went from beginner to an advanced level of German in about a year and a half and later worked entirely in German at a consulting company alongside native speakers.

Learning German myself helped me understand the real challenges students face when learning a new language. Because of this experience, I focus on creating lessons that are supportive, practical, and confidence-building.

I now live in Melbourne, Victoria and teach German. My goal is to help students feel steady progress and enjoy the process of discovering a new language.

About the lesson

We will be working in interactive Miro platform and as a base having a text book of your level and then working from there.

I know ChatGPT is very tempting, but:
- I want you to learn how to write.
- I want you to understand and discuss audios.
- I want you to speak speak speak, no matter the amount of mistakes.

The lesson will be 50 minutes long.

I have been helping my friends with German language for many years, developed career course and successfully helped people with their job hunts. With me you are in safe hands!

Perfect! I have two 50min lessons a week with Polina. Seeing her twice a week face 2 face, keeps me very busy with a lot of homework. I like that we can also do online German lessons but I prefer it when we are both in Melbourne to meet and work in a direct, physical space together. I can listen to her speak to me and also read her body language. She is a fun teacher, but works you hard and with the necessary pressure.
