About Michael

Michael Blanks a father of 5 was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. It was there at the Boys & Girls Club where his brother Willie and the Martin Luther King Center helped him develop a love for an active lifestyle.

Inspired and encouraged by his brother, Billy Blanks, Creator of Tae Bo, Michael developed his own unique style of cardio fitness. Using his skills and varied background, Michael was able to create DRENCHED Cardio.

Accomplished Skills and Development Coach with over twenty eight years of experience helping Professional, Collegiate and High School student athletes realize their full potential competing at their greatest performance levels in the game of Basketball. Won 3 District 10 AAA Championships as a player Coached under Pete Flinn at Erie Strong Vincent High School who had coaching techniques of UNC Coach Dean Smith and Coach Bob Knight. Won the NCAA Junior College MVP and All Tourney First Team. Opted out of college to move to California to play in the Free Agent FILA Summer Pro League and the opportunity to train and workout with Earvin "MAGIC" Johnson and the now assistant coach of the Los Angeles Clippers Larry Drew Sr. Tried out and played for the Toronto Raptors

Summer League Team in 96. Played for the Atlantic City Seagulls in 96. Played with the NBA ALL- STARS traveling team Coached under former UCLA Coach Walt Hazard. Played in the BBL Belize Basketball League for 3 years. For the past 17 years I've been training Non Professional, Professional, Collegiate and High School Athletes with my Skills & Development and Strength & Conditioning Programs. Experienced in helping players learn powerful techniques to improve their form, speed, balance and endurance through my Elite Training Program. Bringing forth a personal background demonstrating powerful Coaching Skills and a Commitment to the Sport of Basketball.

With my broad variety of background skills in Martial Arts, Boxing, Dance, Weight Training and DJing, I've created my own Physical Fitness Workout named DRENCHED Cardio which over the years has gained extreme popularity with both everyday people and many celebrities such as Martin Lawrence, Gene Simmons, Vanessa Williams, Kim Kardashian to name a few.

My brother Billy Blanks the Tae Bo creator inspired me to become a sports fitness trainer which gave me a chance to train and play basketball with Magic Johnson, Shaq, Baron Davis, Wayne Greztky and more other athletes.
