About Austin
With 10+ years of teaching experience, I specialize in helping students from school to college master the saxophone while fostering a love for music. I believe that learning music is not just about notes and scales—it’s about expression, confidence, and creativity.
My lessons are personalized, interactive, and designed to motivate students to reach their full potential. Throughout my career, I have guided students through performances, competitions, and examinations, celebrating each milestone as a shared achievement. I focus on combining strong technical skills with musical understanding, encouraging students to explore their style and enjoy the process of learning.
Music has the power to transform, and my mission is to make each student feel the joy of creating it. Seeing learners grow from beginners to confident performers is the most fulfilling part of my journey as a tutor.

My teaching methodology for saxophone is focused on building confidence and musical expression. I believe that technical skill and emotional expression must grow together.
I motivate students by creating a positive and supportive environment. I communicate clearly and demonstrate techniques slowly so students understand breathing, tonguing, fingering, and tone control.
Integrity is very important in my teaching. I provide honest guidance, regular assessments, and structured practice routines. I encourage discipline and consistency in practice.
Creativity is developed through improvisation exercises, playing with backing tracks, and exploring different genres such as jazz, blues, and contemporary music. Students also learn how to perform confidently.
In addition to saxophone, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, and basic harmony to strengthen overall musical knowledge. My goal is to help students become skilled, expressive, and confident saxophonists.
