I am a native Tamil speaker with a deep love for the language and a strong desire to help others learn it in a joyful and meaningful way. Growing up with Tamil in my home, heart, and everyday life, I have developed a natural command over the language and its cultural beauty.

My classes are friendly, structured, and focused on helping each student grow at their own pace. Whether you are a beginner or someone looking to reconnect with Tamil, I offer patient guidance, practical learning methods, and an encouraging environment where you can build confidence step by step.

Though I may be new to formal teaching, I bring sincerity, passion, and a learner-first attitude to every class. My goal is to make Tamil not just understandable, but lovable.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach and Class Structure – Shakthi

Tamil is not just a language – it’s a beautiful expression of emotions, traditions, and identity. So my classes are not just about learning words; they’re about truly living the language with understanding and joy.

My Teaching Methodology:
- For beginners, the focus is on letters, sounds (phonics), and basic vocabulary.
- For intermediate and advanced learners, I emphasize sentence formation, vocabulary building, and spoken fluency.
- I use creative techniques like roleplay, storytelling, picture prompts, and conversation practice.
- Grammar, comprehension, and dictation are included as needed, especially for exam-oriented students.

Typical Lesson Duration:
- Standard lessons are 60 minutes long. For younger children or absolute beginners, 45-minute sessions are available on request.

My Experience and Qualifications:
- While I may not be a Tamil literature graduate, I am a native speaker who has lived and breathed the language through stories, songs, films, books, and everyday life.
- My strength is creating a comfortable, encouraging space for learning where students don’t fear making mistakes.

தமிழ் ஒரு அழகிய மொழி மட்டுமல்ல, அது உணர்வுகளையும் மரபுகளையும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் வெளிப்படுத்தும் ஒரு கலையும்! எனவே, என் வகுப்புகள் வார்த்தைகளை மட்டும் கற்பிப்பதற்காக அல்ல – உணர்வோடும் புரிதலோடும் மொழியை வாழ்வில் பயன்படுத்த கற்றுக்கொடுக்க நான் முயல்கிறேன்.

எனது கற்பித்தல் நடைமுறை:
- தொடக்கநிலை மாணவர்களுக்காக எழுத்தும் ஒலிப்பும் (phonics) மையமாக இருக்கும்.
- இடைநிலை மற்றும் மேம்பட்ட நிலைகளில் வாக்கிய அமைப்பு, சொல் வளம் மற்றும் உரையாடல் திறன் மேம்பாடு.
- உரையாடல் நடைமுறை, சிறுகதைப் பயிற்சி, situation-based roleplay போன்ற நவீன உத்திகள்.
- தமிழின் இலக்கணப் பகுதி, இலக்கிய வரிகள், மற்றும் சுட்டெழுத்து பயிற்சி (dictation) போன்றவை தேவையானவர்களுக்கு.

ஒரு வகுப்பின் நீளம்:
- வழக்கமாக ஒரு வகுப்பு 60 நிமிடங்கள். சிறிய குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் தொடக்கநிலை மாணவர்களுக்கு 45 நிமிட வகுப்புகள் விருப்பப்படி வழங்கப்படும்.
