As a tutor, my approach is different than as a classroom teacher. I assess where my student is having difficulties and successes in English, reading, writing and/or grammar. Next, I determine how the student learns best. We establish weekly goals and semester goals. Finally, with this information, I will gather materials to help this student succeed. We continue to monitor the student's progress and make adjustments as necessary.
