About Angie

I've spent the past 7+ years teaching language, STEM, and dance—while also working as a software engineer and therapist along the way. That mix taught me one thing: everyone learns differently, and the best lessons are the ones that adapt to you.

I'm a lifelong learner who believes language shouldn't feel like endless drills and memorization. Whether you learn best through conversation, music, visual patterns, or just jumping in and trying—I'll meet you there.

I work with students from 5 to 60+, from total beginners to intermediate learners looking to level up. Learning Chinese or Vietnamese for travel? Reconnecting with your roots? Just curious? Let's make it happen.

About the lesson

While I design a personalized plan for each student, a standard one-hour lesson typically includes:

1. Warm-up (5-10 min): Quick review through conversation or practice exercises
2. New Content (20-25 min): Introduction of vocabulary, grammar, or cultural context with clear examples
3. Practice & Application (20-25 min): Interactive exercises, role-play, real-world scenarios, or learning through songs and media
4. Wrap-up (5 min): Summary and tailored homework

That said, lessons are fully customizable. Want more conversation practice? Interested in learning through Chinese pop music? Need to focus on tones, characters, or daily phrases? We'll adjust to match what works for you.
