About Sharie
I am a mother of two boys. I have a 14-year-old that is entering high school. I also have a 2-year-old that I have decided to homeschool once he is of age.
I have taught math for 10 years and love my students. I have just recently decided to leave the classroom in order to stay at home with my youngest son.
I would love to be able to work with students one on one and help them grow their confidence in their math skills.
I live in Louisiana. I enjoy taking the kids to the park or the lake, anywhere to allow them to play outside. I also helping our local animal rescue.

There are many different ways to strategize to work math problems. I will observe your approach and support your thinking process. I will watch for common misconceptions to easily perfect your technique. I have worked with math students for 10 years, and I have learned it is best to see how the student would approach the problem, and support them from there. Alot of times, in math, there are so many different ways you can approach a problem, and it can be overwhelming to the student. I like to listen to the student think it out and support from there instead of introducing different ways to solve. It's all about building your confidence for when you are presented complicated math problems.
