What makes teaching Afrikaans unique for me is that Afrikaans is a storytelling language. It is direct, it is emotional, and it connects learners to each other. Many learners come in thinking Afrikaans is boring or difficult. My uniqueness is changing that mindset, turning 'Ek kan nie Afrikaans praat nie' into 'Juffrou, ek wil problem.' That transformation is why I teach it.
