About Jennifer
I was born and raised in Japan. My father is an American and my mother is Japanese so my first name is Jennifer and my middle name is Miyabi. I am a Swifty(Taylor Swift fan) from Japan and I love listening to music. I love learning languages as well as teaching them.
I have taught over 100 students including teaching English in Japan as well. I worked at a international preschool for three years teaching in groups and individually. I have also taught the teachers as well. I was also working for Peppy Kids Club online to multiple students in groups. I have taught Japanese for over two years online.
Because I offer detailed explanation and feedback, I create an environment where students feel at ease to ask questions. I am a teacher who encourages students to try and not fear mistakes, so they feel more confident and will love Japanese.
私の名前はジェニファー 雅です。日本とアメリカのハーフで日本で生まれ育ちました。洋楽とテイラースウィフトのファンです。英語、日本語両方を教えた経験があり、インタナショナルプリスクールでは個人から１００人以上の団体の生徒にまで指導したことがあります。オンラインのペッピーキッズクラブではグループレッスンとして子供たちに英語を教えました。日本語講師養成講座受講後、２年ほどオンラインで日本語指導をしました。
アメリカ人向けに日本語学習初心者から教えています。自分が生徒だった時に、分からないことがあっても中々先生に聞けなかったり、分からなくて恥ずかしい思いをすることがありました。そのような思いから、自分が教える立場になり、生徒さんの強みにフォーカスしながらも質問をしやすい環境、内容を細かく説明する授業をしています。基礎からしっかり教えて、沢山褒めて伸ばす、自己肯定感が上がる楽しい授業を提供しています。

I think learning a language requires you to know the proper basics to speak or use it eloquently, so I help you know the alphabet (hiragana and katakana) as well as the kanji. I teach grammar as well. As you take my lessons, I will help you speak as much as you can with my support so that you will be more confident and less shy speaking Japanese. 特に初級の方に向けてひらがな、カタカナの読みと漢字の理解と使い方、基礎から確実に学んでいくことができます。実際レッスンを受け始めていきますと生徒様が沢山話す練習することにより、日本語に対して自分に自信と誇りをもてるようになります。もちろん分からない文法や覚えられないフレーズなど反復、復讐をかねて進めていきます。 スタートとして主な３つのポイントは、ひらがなとカタカナの読みと漢字の理解と使い方•基礎•たくさん日本語を話す練習です。
