About Divya
With a master’s degree from Tufts University and a specialization in applied econometrics and data science, I’ve worked on a wide range of research projects related to public policy, food systems, and social protection. My experience includes working in research at J-PAL South Asia under Nobel Prize-winning economists, where I managed large-scale datasets, survey teams, and government partnerships to evaluate real-world interventions. I’ve also worked as a research assistant for studies at Tufts University and the USDA, co-authored academic publications, and contributed to impact evaluations with organizations like the International Rescue Committee. These experiences have shaped my teaching to be both rigorous and practical — I know how to help students move from abstract theory to real, meaningful application. Whether you’re navigating your first econometrics course or trying to apply evaluation methods to your thesis or job, I bring patience, clarity, and real-world insight to every lesson.

I aim to make econometrics approachable, structured, and relevant—especially for students and professionals working in research, policy, or development. My classes are designed to help you truly understand what the numbers mean and how to apply methods like regression, RCTs, or diff-in-diff in real-world evaluations. Each session typically begins with a concept breakdown, followed by worked examples, problem-solving, and interpretation of results. I also offer support with assignments, research design, and understanding statistical software like R or Stata. Having worked with J-PAL, an organization led by Nobel Prize-winning economists, I bring practical insight into how econometric tools are used to answer real policy questions. I know what kind of clarity and rigor is expected in the field and can help you develop both. These classes are best suited for college-level learners, early-career researchers, development professionals, or anyone seeking to understand the “why” behind impact data—not just the math.
