About Johannes

I love to help language learners open a whole new world as they discover a new language. If you want to get better at French, I am here to help!

My tutoring style is highly personalised: I believe the most rewarding learning happens when lessons are tailored to the needs, goals, and interests of each individual learner. Whether you want to improve exam performance, strengthen your language skills, or explore literature in more depth, I’m here to help you succeed.

After having worked in the financial industry, I am now studying to become a lawyer. Aside from my work and studies, I play a lot of classical music, and enjoy long distance running.

Here are some of my previous experiences:

- Mentor at the Oxbridge Launchpad: Supported students from less-privileged backgrounds throughout the Oxbridge application process. This included guidance on personal statements, interview preparation, and targeted academic support leading up to their A-Level exams.

- Private French and German Tutor: Provided one-to-one tutoring for A-Level pupils, focusing on exam technique, speaking confidence, and deeper grammatical understanding. I also have experience teaching adult learners who wanted to acquire a new language from scratch.

- Replacement French & German Teacher at St Edward’s School, Oxford: Following a successful interview, the panel highlighted my ability to explain complex grammar points clearly and from multiple angles, allowing students to grasp challenging concepts with ease.
