About Thomas
In addition to possessing music teaching credentials from the California Public School System, I have conducted both individual and group music lessons in this category, as well as doing school concerts. In addition, I have played guitar in clubs and concert halls for over thirty years both as a single performer, and as a successful band member. I have never found myself bored in any way with my music, and consistently write new songs for performance. It is my total pleasure to help students learn and find joy in music, at whatever age or performance level they wish to pursue.

Learning music, specifically guitar, should bring the joy of discovering and developing an appreciation of music on an individual basis with an amazing musical instrument designed for quick learning. Students will be guided and taught based on not only their interest in the guitar, but at whatever level of skill they have initially. Then comes the pleasure of determining their goals with music, whether performance-oriented, or just plain enjoyment of learning and playing for themselves and others. Our face-to-face first meeting will be designed for orientation to the guitar to find out what playing skills, if any, are already in place. From there, we will design a specific path of learning that should be initiated. It is important that through all lessons the fun of accomplishment shall be the priority. Students will not be doing any tedious or boring exercises that might detract from learning the guitar as quickly as possible. My past expertise has been with elementary-age children, but I have conducted adult classes on a need-to basis.
