About JISUN

1. Standard Korean / Southern Dialect
I can speak both standard Korean and Southern dialect. I can speak English too. The more languages you can speak, the more knowledge you have in the language. I know both in Korean which means I have a broad range of information about the language.

2. English and Korean Education
I majored in English and Korean Education. Why do we have the major about Education or the language. It's because it provides exact information about the language and you learn teaching skills. I studied "Techniques and Principles in language teaching" such as the direct method, the audio-lingual method and so on. This tells you that I'm qualified in teaching and I know accurate ways to teach the language.

3. Teaching Experiences
I have experiences in teaching. I've been teaching English since 2017. I've been teaching in public schools. I also have experiences in tutoring. When you know the teaching skills and techniques, you should apply them to real life. A lot of my friends are teachers. I get advice from them and we share knowledge in teaching too.

4. Counseling major
I majored in counseling which means I am good at dealing with people and their emotions. When you are with me, I will be your language partner and make sure that you will be comfortable with me and learning the language.

About the lesson

We have a goal in learning the language. We have to the right direction of language learning. Considering the goal, let’s make a great plan to study Korean.

I majored in English and Korean Education. You can read “About ME” down below first to understand the explanation better.

I want to say there are sections in learning the language.

- conversations
- vocabulary
- pronunciation / intonation
- reading and writing
- culture

The lesson will depend on the level. I will explain the general format of the curiculum.

You should learn authentic conversations that are natural. I will use K-dramas, variety shows, movies etc. to learn conversations in real life.

I will make teaching materials and let you learn vocabulary easily. (I will also use Kpop lyrics to learn new vocabulary and to make it fun)

You can’t miss it. I will bring phonics and practice together. Don’t worry I will be with you all the time.

I will bring a script and do it together. Also, I will bring some stories that we can read and writie together. But before that, I will find your interest first and bring materials that will attract you.

I’ve lived my whole life in Korea. I know a lot about Korean culture. I am very aware of it so you can learn real and authentic Korean culture from me.

- All levels are available. I have taught from the basic to the advanced.
- I will make the lesson according to each student.
