About Kevin
I have a PhD in Mathematics (Astrophysics) and a Masters degree in Physics, with more than 25 years of experience as a Lecturer in the Higher Education sector. I have been a school tutor for more than 30 years, during which time I have helped hundreds of students overcome their learning thresholds/barriers and then go on to achieve tremendous academic success. Firstly I establish where the knowledge gaps are. These have to be addressed before any new concept can be learned. It helps to solidify the foundation and facilitates progression and flow. The lessons are conducted in English, and are targeted at K-12. Students can expect a very vibrant lesson conducted in a relaxed manner with humor every now and again. I explain the concepts in detail by using several analogies. Problems are solve step by step in a fully annotated fashion with lots of commentary for future reference and self study later on. Bloom's taxonomy guides the selection of questions looked at during the lesson.
