About Ava
My name is Ava and it's my goal to create a learning environment that is caring and intentional in optimizing your learning abilities. I am going into my second year of studying psychology and it's been such a blessing to learn how to learn better. As a learner, there will always be a time when you find yourself feeling insecure or stressed about your abilities. I would love to join you on your journey in overcoming these obstacles and illustrating your learning content in a simple, broken-down manner to reduce intimidation and help you build your own learning confidence.

I value a simple, broken-down lesson approach to avoid intimidating learners before they have even started. My techniques include chunking the information being learned into items of 5-9 to improve students' memory consolidation, as well as organizing relevant activities involving verbal and written recall. As a student, I've struggled with numerous learning obstacles. Part of being a successful student is acknowledging your own obstacles in your learning and integrating strategies to outsmart poor habits, to optimize your learning. I am a patient and caring person that is intuitive to others' learning abilities. Everyone has different ways of learning and communicating, and it would be my goal to adapt to my students' different needs to help them the best I can in their academic journey. My lessons are for levels from pre-school to grade 12.
