About Mia

Hi, I’m Mia, and I’m passionate about helping students unlock their potential and achieve their goals. I’ve been teaching in a Further Education college for five years, specialising in Sport Coaching and Development, Sport and Exercise Science, and Uniformed Protective Services. Within sport, I specifically teach Sport Development, Careers in Sport, and Self-Employment in the Sport Industry, as well as coaching and performance-related units. I also teach Psychology and Government units, which support students in developing a strong understanding of behaviour, policy, and performance environments. I hold a BA (Hons) in Sport Studies and an FAQ Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. I aim to make learning interactive and engaging, using technology like Nearpod to bring lessons to life. Whether supporting students to achieve Distinctions in coursework or preparing them for challenging exams, I provide clear guidance, structured support, and stretch to help every learner reach their full potential. My lessons combine real-world experience, practical examples, and clear explanations so that content feels relevant and exciting. I build a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow. Learning with me is about more than passing exams—it’s about developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for a successful future in the sport industry.

About the lesson

I deliver 1-hour lessons for 16–19-year-olds, using technology-driven methods such as Nearpod to embed content and provide interactive questions. I hold a BA (Hons) in Sport Studies and an FAQ Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, and have been teaching in a Further Education college for the past five years. My approach combines practical and theory-based learning, ensuring students remain engaged while developing knowledge and skills effectively
