Drawing is a heavily practical topic. So my students have to get their hands dirty. . . Always . I'll start a new class with assignments on fundamentals; this way I'd get to know my students strengths and weaknesses ( and also get to know my students overall).
I'd still go through each fundamental area of drawing, but would know which students to pay more attention to during each section.
Challenges would be held as tests and presentations would be made in groups after each section.
I believe this method is truly the only and most effective way for the learner to master drawing. All levels can equally benefit from my lessons.
