About Henry

Teaching is one of my favorite things to do. Anytime I learn something interesting, the first thing I want to do is share it with someone.

I'm a transplant to the Austin area having grown up in Chicago and attending school in Philadelphia. I have spent the past 5 years attending school and working in the STEM field.

To give some background of my experience, I tutored anywhere from middle school math to undergraduate engineering courses in my gap year between undergrad and grad school. I worked as a teaching assistant in grad school in areas of math, physics, engineering, and computer science. Last year I spent a year teaching 7th grade math in the Austin area, and currently work as an aerospace engineer for a drone company. I have significant experience both teaching these challenging concepts and applying them to real world problems, so hopefully I can help you see them from a new light.

About the lesson

I know it can be difficult to find a resource that can explain that concept so it finally "clicks". For me it took countless Youtube videos, talking to classmates, and sometimes off the shelf books. I'm guessing you are looking for a tutor as another resource to get some help with that toughhhhh class that is kicking your butt?

I will help you get to the point where the material clicks for you. Typically, I ask you to send me the concepts a few days before we meet and get to know exactly what it is you need help with. I prepare ways to explain it and guide you through it based on the learning style I get to know with you. At first, I may pull from a few different resources as I see what style works best for you, but I will narrow down the resources as I get to know you as a student.
