About Denise
My name is Denise, and I have studied piano since I was little. I have been teaching for about 15 years, and that has given me a lot of experience and resources to become a better teacher every day.
I firmly believe that it is never too late to start learning something new, and I really enjoy bringing people closer to music. To me as a teacher, there's few things more encouraging than seeing the excitement in the eyes of a student, when they discover they can play a song they like in their first lessons. Despite having a university education and a background in academic music, I seek to make my classes and the repertoire interesting and pleasurable for everyone, so I have experience teaching all kinds of music, not just classical.

I think it's very important that the lessons adapt to the needs and interests of each student, so the repertoire and teaching methodology will vary depending on the objectives that each student sets.
I love it when I teach and concepts are understood, so I always structure theoretical and technical explanations as concisely as possible, to convey concepts clearly and accurately.
While I enjoy teaching all ages, I specialize more in children ages 9 and up, teens, and adults.
