About Teresa
High school teacher with over 20 years experience both in state and private educational settings. I enjoy teaching and use a variety of methods to cater to all learning styles. Most recently I worked at the Australian International Islamic College with years 7-12. The students in my classes enjoy my teaching style and I have had great success in helping students reach their goals.

I aim to make the lesson fun, entertaining sometimes competitive but mostly rewarding. The lesson starts by defining the lesson goals so students understand what it is they are trying to achieve that lesson. After a warm up which reflects back on the previous lesson we move into the lesson content learning any new vocabulary that is necessary to understand the content. I model how we approach certain tasks or topic questions, we then attempt together and finally a release of responsibility in which the learner becomes confident enough to attempt and achieve individually. I like to use media in the classroom to explain concepts, Kahoots to check understanding and guide each student where ever they need further help.
