About Azza
I'm Azza - I'm 27 and I qualified as a teacher a year ago. I used to work a corporate job, after I left university but after realising that I wasn't doing anything meaningful, I changed career. I wanted to become a teacher because I truly believe that school is what sets you up for adult life. I'm an advocate for education for all and really want the best opportunities for students.
At the moment, I work as a supply teacher. I've worked in lots of different schools and have taught lots of different learners. All of whom are unique and deserve to have that recognised.

I'm a relatively young teacher with rich experience in teaching and mentoring. I'm friendly and personable and promise to make the lessons as fun and engaging as I can. I like to get a full idea of the interests and skills of every learner, so I can tailor my lessons to suit them.
As I trained in Drama I became familiar with lots of diverse teaching strategies and some really fun approaches to learning. I find that holding a discussion with my learners is an effective way to draw out opinions and responses.
Subjects I have taught in a classroom include Drama, Media, Film, English, Geography and History. My undergraduate degree was in Media Production, which is my passion subject.
I'm a firm believer in the 20 minute lesson cycle whereby we learn for 15 minutes and then take small breaks. Overall my sessions are 60 minutes.
I have experience in teaching students ages 11+, from key stages 3 to 5. I also have experience teaching at FE level, 16+.
