About Giulia

I am an A-Level Economics teacher currently teaching at City of London School for Girls (CLSG), one of the UK's leading independent schools. Over the past five years, I have taught Economics across a range of secondary school settings and have developed extensive experience helping students achieve success at A-Level.

I have access to a wide range of high-quality teaching and exam resources, particularly for the AQA and Edexcel specifications. In addition, I have worked extensively as an examiner for AQA and Edexcel, giving me detailed insight into mark schemes, assessment criteria, and the common strengths and weaknesses seen in student responses.

This examiner experience allows me to provide precise, actionable feedback on essays and exam questions, helping students to maximise their marks through strong exam technique and effective application of economic theory.

My lessons are designed not only to develop excellent examination skills but also to deepen students' understanding of Economics. I place a strong emphasis on ensuring that key concepts are fully understood, enabling students to apply their knowledge confidently to unfamiliar contexts and real-world economic issues.

About the lesson

• Lessons are typically 1 or 2 hours long, depending on the student's needs, goals, and stage of study.

• For every topic covered, I incorporate a wide range of past-paper questions to develop students' exam technique and prepare them thoroughly for their AS and A-Level Economics examinations.

• I regularly set exam-style essays and data response questions, which I mark in detail using official examiner criteria and mark schemes. Feedback is reviewed at the beginning of each lesson to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.

• My lessons are designed to strengthen both subject knowledge and examination skills. I focus on ensuring students develop a secure understanding of key economic concepts while learning how to apply this knowledge effectively in high-mark exam responses.
