About Callie
For the past three years, I have been teaching math and science to fifth and sixth grade students at a private school. My top priority as an educator is building positive relationships with my students to best meet his or his learning needs. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education Integrated Studies in Elementary Education. My Virginia Professional Licence certifies me to teach all content areas in elementary grades K-6 and special education general curriculum in grades K-12. I am also a certified teacher for elementary grades K-6 and special education K-12 through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). As I transition from teaching in a classroom to at home teaching/tutoring, I am eager to help students reach his or her goals in any way I can. As a tutor, I strive daily to surpass expectations and make every effort to ensure my students succeed.

My teaching method is based on individual student needs. Whether a student is a kinesthetic, visual, or auditory learner, I form my lessons around that learning style. My lessons are very interactive and engaging to peak student interest. As a tutor, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, communicating difficulties, and expressing personal interest and learning desires as we build an educational partnership together.
