About Jackie

I am a primary school teacher, with the added experience of teaching GCSE Photography.
I have a professional photography qualification and experience of operating my own photography business.
I am offering online photography lessons for small groups or on a 1 to 1 basis, teaching photography and light basics, including film photography up to Level 3. Photoshop lessons will also be available if required as well as basic videography. Lesson content can include professional business advice if required.
Willing to travel up to 12 miles for practical lessons or using webcam (Zoom/Teams).

About the lesson

I base my teaching on practical lessons, so you will be required to have access to a dslr/slr or bridge camera with manual controls. I will demonstrate required skills and will expect to see evidence of learning by completion of tasks set as well as completed written exercises if required.

Perfect! Jackie had an excellent understanding of what I was looking for in training in the photographic art.

Helped in designing a teaching course not only in technical but in the creative areas as well.
Focused and practical exercises.
Documents in key areas.
With an excellent teaching style.

The resulting benefits of my marked improvement in creating a confident photographer.

The progression in art and commercial applications tailored to my aims.

A skilled tutor, the additional benefits on other aspects of photography that I had not even considered.

I highly recommend her service as a photography tutor.

I have worked for over 45 years in the service industry, as a director in business and an employer- I can tell great service when I see it.

Jackie's response
Mark shows a lot of promise as a professional photographer. He has developed a solid understanding of how to use his camera in full manual mode and demonstrates increasing confidence in adjusting settings to suit different lighting conditions and creative outcomes.

Throughout the lessons, Mark has also shown good awareness of composition techniques, using framing, perspective, and depth effectively to enhance the visual impact of his images. In addition, he has explored post-processing skills to refine and polish his photographs, showing an eye for detail and creativity in editing.

With continued practice and exploration of different styles and subjects, Mark has the potential to build a strong and distinctive photographic portfolio.
