About Faisal
I am a teacher in reading the Quran with a certificate of sanad Qiroah Hafsh aan Aashim from Sheikh Sayyid Ibrahim Baabulah (Proofreader of Mushaf in the Al-Haram Grand Mosque) from Egypt. In addition, I also studied at the Sharia Faculty of Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. Currently completing the Masters Program in Islamic Education at Hasyim Asy'ari University, Tebuireng, Jombang.
Non-formal education that I attended was as a student at the Sunan Ampel Jombang Islamic Boarding School and Arabic Language Training at the Jannatul Ma'wa Institute in Cairo and several other institutions in Arabic and Islamic Religion.
In the Arabic field I have experienced teaching for 7 years, including being a tutor in preparation for the Middle East Student Candidate Selection. I was appointed as a judge in the Southeast Asian Arabic Language Debate Contest at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in 2013 and 2014.

The teaching method in reading the Qur'an that I have applied is through the classical method with an emphasis on the basics of reading the Qur'an correctly namely the practice of makhaarij al-huroof and tajweed first. When the student has mastered it can be interspersed (added) with Tajweed and qiroah theories.
Reading the Qur'an must be done with the guidance of a teacher who truly masters the science of recitation and even better if he has a sanad / diploma of the Qur'an. The Qur'an has been taught from generation to generation since it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by way of a meeting (talaqqi) between teacher and student. Students must listen and see the teacher in reciting verses or letters of the Qur'an. For now if there are distance and time constraints can be done through video call technology.
