About Stephen

It's stressful learning new concepts. One of the greatest difficulties is wondering if you'll actually remember at the crucial moment. I've taught for most of my career for the reward of seeing the joy on my students' faces when they actually break through that barrier (the valley of despair) to knowing, and better, comprehending that concept. I will work with what you know, building from there and linking learning with your particular interests.

About the lesson

Learning must have relevance and connection. I often use understanding of the mind to link new concepts with what your child already knows, and to firm up those connections. This builds strong understanding which is "exam-hardened" to address the anxiety of assessment.
