About Sofia

I'm a Chemistry and Physics teacher since 1995. I work with secondary school students, from year 10 and 11 in Physics and Chemistry, and with year 12 students in Chemistry. As I have a CELTA, I also teach English classes to adults. My lessons are student-focused. I teach not only the subject itself but also the interpretation and context, developing confidence and self-esteem in the student.

About the lesson

I have a degree in Chemistry from FCTUC and I have a CELTA. Since 1995 I have worked with young people from the 7th to the 12th year in the disciplines of Physics and Chemistry. I also prepare for national and international exams in these subjects. My work method is focused on the student. I work with individual students or in small groups in the same academic year. In addition to explaining the subjects simply, I also work on the interpretation of the context and the type of response needed to be presented in an exam situation.
