About Wendy
Having qualified as an engineer I worked for 9 years as an aeronautical engineer. I then retrained to teach mathematics. This I have been doing very successfully in the UK and Australia. I teach across the age range from year 5 to year 13. I specialise in GCSE and A level teaching especially the applied subjects at A level which draw on my engineering background.

I base my teaching on seeing Mathematics as a tool required in all walks of life and try to give practical examples at all times. I teach an understanding not just knowledge and I am happy to use the methods and processes that students already have an awareness of not just teach ‘my way’. No question is a silly question and my students tell me they grow in confidence from the first meeting.
