About Oscar
I have tutored people in biology, chemistry and maths for a total of 6-months. I find it rewarding to help the next generation develop their knowledge and value learning throughout their lives.
I enjoy football, cycling and hiking and have volunteered at a local youth centre when I younger. Music enthusiast playing bass guitar up to grade 6 and performed pub gigs in as a band, on occasion fundraising gigs for multiple charities.

Hello there! My name is Oscar and I a Maths, Biology and Chemistry tutor
I graduated from King's College London obtaining a 2:1 in my Neuroscience BSc
I obtained 2 A's and 2 B's at A level in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Welsh Bacc
50+ hours of tutoring experience.
Strongest subjects taught are Biology, Maths or Chemistry at GCSE level.
Studying neuroscience at a degree level has helped me develop strengths at mentoring peers and simplifying concepts, especially scientific ones.
I have a clear understanding of how to go about teaching. Support the student to understand the concept. Then help the student memorise the information.
By using mnemonics, mind maps and other memory techniques, breaking down lots of information can become easy work.
My tutoring standards will ensure that Student's:
- Are aware of all topics within their syllabus
- Can meet 'tricky' marking criteria on specific exams Q's
- Have extra mock assessments, feedback and advice leading up to exams
- Construct revision timetables and monitor progress to ensure all module content is covered
It is my duty to ensure my students are educated to the best possible standards adhering to UK Government Teachers' Standards and syllabus specific lessons
