About Shannon

I love to see students achieve their goals. Playing piano is so much fun, and I would be honored for to help you learn!
I graduated from Brigham Young University (studying sociology and music), and I have 30 years of experience teaching adults and children. Recommended ages: 8-100.

About the lesson

We will go over posture and technique, reading music and playing foundational exercises. In the first lesson you will be able to play a piece, and within weeks you will be able to play songs you know. Playing piano exercises both sides of the brain! It will challenge you, but it will also help you gain confidence and coordination. Piano can also help calm the mind and reduce stress!

Perfect! Fantastic piano teacher! I'm an adult learner, she draws on a good mix of materials to help me develop. It's harder to find the time when you're older, but she balances understanding that with motivating me to keep practicing.
