About Charmion
Standing in a quiet studio in Seoul, I connect with students who seek to master the nuance of Appalachian fiddling. My path led me from the stages of the American South to teaching a diverse global community of working professionals and intermediate learners.
I hold a BFA Music Performance from East Tennessee State University and have performed at traditional festivals for 13 years. Over this period, I have guided 150 students through the intricacies of their instruments. My teaching style remains kind, unhurried, and deeply rooted in session-fluent traditions.
I focus on technical clarity as much as the soul of the music. You are in capable hands.

You arrive at our first session ready to sharpen your double stops and refine your left hand agility. We move through specific exercises that address your posture, hold, and timing. My 13 years of experience allow me to identify exactly where your spiccato or staccato bowing needs adjustment. I provide a monthly progress report to parents to ensure transparency and consistent growth.
Your ear training and scales become the foundation for a more disciplined performance practice. This is the place to build your confidence on the violin.
