About Rylie
Hi, I’m Rylie! I have been playing guitar for six years, and I am currently pursuing a degree in music, specializing in guitar performance. At the beginning of my guitar journey I was completely self-taught, so I understand how it feels to be overwhelmed with the endless possibilities of guitar. Now, I have been learning from world-class musicians, who have taken the skills I learned by myself and helped me harness them into the tools I now possess. It is through my experiences that I have discovered my personal musical voice, and now it’s my goal to help you find yours!

My lessons are for any age level, I am a firm believer that no student is too young nor too old. I am most experienced in teaching younger children and teens, but I have experience with adults as well. I plan to let the students’ goals guide our lessons, while still creating and following a structured music theory path. A typical lesson will begin by refining the student’s technique by learning and practicing a song of the student’s choice. Then, we will go in depth on a theory topic, applying what we learn to songs the student already knows. The amount of depth we go into will depend on the age of the student, my main goal is to introduce theory concepts without boring the student. Finally, the student will learn improvisation skills through practical experience. I'll end the lesson providing the student with appropriate short-term goals and things to work on before the next lesson. I can’t wait to work with you!
