About Umut

Learning a different language means learning a new culture and opening doors to further opportunities, experiences and overall new chapters of life. With each language you add to your skill set and CV, different opportunities arise, and new journeys can unfold. Naturally, it is quite important to realize what each student requires in order to successfully learn thought content and subject. Approaches need to be adjusted in order to cater for each need and optimize the symbiosis of teaching and learning.

About the lesson

Having taught German as a Foreign Language to international students and studied German philology, gave me the chance to work as a teacher at Goethe University in Germany. I was able to hone my skills as a teacher and even gained insights on how to portray this subject in English, which then enabled me to teach English additionally.

My lessons are usually 45 minutes long but can be extended to 50 minutes if required and encompass methods such as interactive learning, working with different media such as movies, news, books, grammar and school material overall and even incorporate occasional song analysis.
