About Isla
I am a 16 year old student, currently in year 12 and studying A level chemistry, biology and maths with an aspiration to become a vet. When I began my GCSE journey, I would have never believed how far I have come and it was only because of my teachers and people around me that I succeeded and began my love for maths. This is what I wish to help my students with and I aim to help them to enjoy the subject - because that is really the key to success. In the past, I have helped family members and my peers when they have struggled academically, and although I am not completely experienced in teaching, I know the specification in depth and can help predict trends in the exam papers after my revision last year.

I teach 30 minute to an hour lesson for GCSE Edexcel maths students in year 9 to 11. I will start by assessing the level of maths that your student is at and help teach and boost their confidence in their weaker areas including giving them feedback on what to work on and practise. We would work through past exam questions and I would teach them the steps where nescesary. I am 16 years old and achieved a grade 9 in GCSE maths so am able to accommodate any level of skill set.
