About Ella
I'm Ella, an undergraduate Natural Sciences student at the University of Leeds. I can be based in Manchester or Leeds depending on what's required.
My current studies focus on chemistry, biochemistry and biology, and I have always been someone who is passionate about academics both as a student and a tutor. I am acting Welfare Secretary for my course society, and enjoy dedicating time to helping coursemates feel they have a supportive community and a friendly face on the course.
I hope to bring this through into my tutoring, as I can provide confident, friendly support in a subject, as well as a strong understanding of the content.

I tutor GCSE Maths, Chemistry and Biology on any level required, as well as A-Level Chemistry and Biology, though chemistry would be preferred. I also got a high A in Film-Studies A-level, and would welcome the opportunity to tutor this too.
I like to work one-on-one with a friendly, conversational method to teaching that focuses on discussion of teaching points followed by working through problems together to aid a strong understanding of a subject.
A session length can be from 1-3 hours, and focus on just one subject or a range. Happy to work through problems or concepts brought to me/ sent in advance, but I will also talk through larger units of chosen courses if more structured sessions are arranged.
Despite having never done tutoring through an organisation before, I have frequently tutored GCSE students in my local area, as well as organised tutoring drop-ins during U6 A-Level Studies to help students that aren't understanding content.
