About Max
Hi! I’m a 16-year-old A Level Maths student with a real passion for the subject. I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and helping others understand tricky topics, which is why I decided to start tutoring. Having recently achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, I know what it takes to succeed and I want to use my knowledge to support other students — whether they’re aiming for top marks or just want to feel more confident in class.

Hi! I'm an A Level student currently studying Maths, and I’m passionate about helping others succeed in it too. I achieved 4 Grade 9s and 5 Grade 8s at GCSE, including a Grade 9 in Maths, and I’m now using my knowledge and experience to support Key Stage 3 and GCSE students aiming to boost their understanding and confidence in maths. My lessons are personalised to each student — whether you're aiming for a top grade or trying to improve your confidence in a specific topic. I start by identifying any areas of difficulty and then break down the concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I use: Clear explanations Guided practice Exam-style questions Real-life examples (where helpful) I also encourage students to ask questions freely — there's no such thing as a silly question in my lessons! Lesson Length: 30 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes (flexible based on your needs) Format: Online or in-person (depending on location) Level: KS3 and GCSE Maths Ages: 11–16 My Experience Although I’m still a student, I’ve recently been through the GCSE process myself — and succeeded — so I know exactly what the exams are like and how to prepare for them. I’ve also spent time helping classmates and younger students, which has taught me how to explain things clearly and patiently. Who I Teach: KS3 students who want to build strong foundations in maths GCSE students working towards grades 4–9 Students who need help with specific topics, exam prep, or general revision
