About Megan

Here you have my top three of my experience in teaching Spanish:

1. Didactic digital material designer at a Spanish course (Spanish as a Foreign language - Español como lengua extranjera) (ELE). During the seventh, eighth and ninth semester of my career, I took the ELE course in which I searched for the different teaching and learning theories of ELE. Then, I designed and presented digital and physical didactic materials for ELE classes for foreigners in Colombia.

2. Tutor at the Complementary Training and Apprenticeship Project in (CAAELE). In this space, for 1 semester I supported the Japanese ELE students of my university through tutorials.

3. Tutor of the Spanish Writing Center of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana located in Bogotá, Colombia. During a yer and a half, I provided accompaniment to undergraduate students who wanted to have real readers for their academic texts. The purpose was to strengthen aspects of planning, drafting or revision that would be required.

I’m Megan, I’m not only looking forward teaching you but also learning from you!

I’m native Spanish speaker and I’m currently a C1 in English and French, and B1 in Italian.

I would love to help you master your Spanish skills making the hard concepts easy to grasp by adapting the Communicative language teaching (CLT) which is an approach to language teaching that emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of study. Nevertheless, I’m open to match the method of your preference if the case.

If you are also interested in learning about Colombia, as a Colombian teacher, I’m proud of having the opportunity to give you Spanish lessons taking into account our culture, lexicon, slang, mannerisms and other outstanding linguistic topics.

I have experience at teaching Spanish in three scenarios: Designing digital Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) material, Tutoring at the Complementary Training and Apprenticeship Project in (CAAELE), and Tutoring at the Spanish Writing Center of the Pontifical Javerian University.
