About Salih Emre
Hi! My name is Emre. I'm a physics student at the University of Chicago. Music is my passion; it is far beyond a hobby for me. Playing and making music supports a deeper connection with our humanity. My goal as a tutor is to provide a greater appreciation and understanding of this noble language. As Rachmaninoff said, “Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music.”

I have been playing piano for as long as I can remember. I've received training from various pianists in the past and am adequately trained in essential techniques. I love music and I'm studying composition and orchestration.
I am currently offering beginner-intermediate level lessons in piano as well as music theory. The content of the lessons is up to you, whether you want to play specific pieces or receive comprehensive instruction. I encourage building fundamental skills that will help you grasp the instrument.
I offer in-person lessons around Hyde Park, Chicago. I am flexible with the location: either at your residence or mine, it is up to you.
