I am an educator with over 30 years of experience teaching Portuguese as a second language.This is not just a job in New York for me. I have taught Portuguese across Europe, Africa, and Asia, working with students from completely different worlds - and that taught me one thing: the best method is your reality.My teaching is not based on a ready-made book. It is based on you - your cultural background, your values, your life experience, and your work. Whether you are on Wall Street or in a hospital, your Portuguese should sound like you.I love to teach. I create all of my own material, personalized for each student, and I bring much more than grammar. I bring Brazil to the lesson - the culture, the music, the real language as it is spoken on the streets, in business meetings, and at home.If you want to learn Portuguese that you can actually live in, not just pass a test in, I would love to be your professor.

My Teaching MethodI don't teach Portuguese - I build your Portuguese with you.For over 30 years, from Wall Street executives to doctors and nurses in hospitals, I have learned that no two students learn the same way.That's why every new student starts with my assessment test. I don't just test your level, I identify how you learn - your learning type and the elements you naturally use to absorb content.Inspired by Paulo Freire, I believe you are not an empty vessel. You bring your world, your work, your life. My role is to use what you already bring as the bridge to the new language. We learn through dialogue, not memorization.
