  • What motivates you to teach & why?

To disperse the knowledge I have to those who are in need of it motivates me. When I see children or adults struggling with these languages, I feel I can contribute in improving their linguistic skills. Moreover a keen interest in Indian languages shown by expats/foreign nationals/Indian origin citizens of other countries also stimulates me to teach Hindi/Sanskrit to them.
  • When did you start developing an interest in your subject area?

I had this interest since school , however, the realisation came when I started teaching/supporting my children during school.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

My language teachers in school, Ms. Meera, Ms. Meena, Ms. Kumkum of Mount Carmel, Patna, who have taught me so well that today i am capable of teaching others, even after more than 35 years.
  • What is the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in mastering your craft?

Understanding the use of available resources on the internet and the use of video calls to reach out to my students.
  • In your opinion, what makes someone excel in your subject area?

Apart from speaking, one needs to read extensively and think in the subject language. Further one also needs to practice extempore writing and be determined.
  • What would you say to a student who says, "This is too difficult, I give up!"?

Practice makes a man perfect! Keep trying until you succeed.
  • How does someone become a Super Prof?

A teacher can be a Super Prof by constantly giving their best shot and if the students love to learn from you and recommend you strongly!
