About Matt
I am here because I love coaching from track and field. In just four years I took over a dozen kids to the state meet for high schools. Those meets we did so well, twice we got to take someone to Nike nationals. I never had teaching in my mind, I wanted to be an artist so bad, but my career turned technical and here I am, doing well for myself but missing conveying that coaching energy. Happy to help you understand how this part of the world can work and to encourage you push yourself to be better than the day before. My college advisor , who I stayed friends with for many decades after college recently passed this year and I feel I am here in order to honor his legacy of teaching and helping young folks.

I have knowledge that I constantly try to combine and update. I bring in elements from my undergrad (graphic design), masters (integrated marketing communications), and 12-week coding bootcamp (javascript, html and more). I combine that formal training with my real work experience in event activations, digital ad operations and even product development. I would say this material is rather complex and appropriate for motivated high schoolers to get a lens on the current/future landscape and it's a practical lesson for those at the college level.
