As a coding teacher, my approach is rooted in practical application and understanding the "why" behind the code, much like my own development philosophy. I believe in building a strong foundation, not just memorizing syntax. I call this the "Ayon Method" - a blend of structured learning with real-world problem-solving. Teaching Techniques and Methods: I use a mix of techniques to cater to different learning styles. I start with conceptual explanations, often using analogies and visual aids, to ensure everyone grasps the core ideas. Then, we move into hands-on coding exercises, starting with small, manageable tasks and gradually increasing complexity. I emphasize learning by doing, encouraging students to experiment and debug their own code. I also incorporate pair programming and group projects to foster collaboration and teamwork. I'm a big believer in breaking down complex topics into smaller, digestible chunks, ensuring no one gets left behind. Regular quizzes and coding challenges help reinforce learning and identify areas where students might need extra support. Usual Structure of a Class: A typical class starts with a brief review of the previous lesson, addressing any questions or challenges students faced. Then, I introduce the new topic, explaining the concepts and demonstrating examples. The bulk of the class is dedicated to hands-on coding exercises, where I provide guidance and support as students work through the problems. I encourage students to ask questions and share their solutions, creating a collaborative learning environment. Each class ends with a summary of the key takeaways and a preview of the next lesson. Special Features as a Teacher: My background as a full-time software developer gives me a unique perspective. I bring real-world experience into the classroom, sharing industry best practices and practical tips that aren't typically found in textbooks. I focus on teaching not just how to code, but also how to think like a programmer – problem-solving, debugging, and approaching challenges systematically. I'm patient, approachable, and passionate about helping students succeed. I believe everyone can learn to code with the right guidance and support. Intended Audience: My classes are designed for a wide range of learners, from school children (introducing them to the fundamentals of coding) to college students (building upon their existing knowledge and preparing them for internships and careers) and adults (career changers or those looking to upskill). I adapt my teaching style and curriculum to suit the specific needs and experience level of each group.
