About Ryan
I’m an aerospace engineer with a strong background in maths, physics, and problem-solving. I’ve worked across real engineering systems, so I don’t just teach theory, I explain how it actually applies in practice. I’m patient, direct, and focused on getting results, whether that’s improving grades or building genuine understanding. Students I work with tend to gain confidence quickly because I explain things clearly and challenge them in the right way. If something doesn’t make sense, I’ll find a way to make it click.
I have experience training working engineers from beginner level right up to experts upskilling, including having trained the UK fire brigade, UK SAS and US Navy on maintaining their breathing air systems and ensuring it's safe to use for divers.

I take a practical, problem-solving approach to tutoring, focusing on building real understanding rather than memorisation. Lessons are typically 60-90 minutes and tailored to the student’s level, whether that’s GCSE, A-level, or early university. I break down complex concepts into simple, logical steps and reinforce them with worked examples and guided practice. As an engineer, I bring real-world context into lessons, helping students see why the material matters. My sessions suit students who want clear explanations, efficient progress, and someone who can challenge them properly while keeping things straightforward and engaging.
