About Jonathan
Mental math serves as the foundation for every high-level concept I teach. Memorizing formulas is actually a poor substitute for understanding why numbers behave in specific ways. I bring a BS Math from Princeton and an MS CS to our sessions to ensure absolute clarity. My 5 years of experience include navigating everything from geometry and trig to complex statistics and probability.
I work with teens needing homework help as well as ambitious professionals aiming for entrance exams. Sometimes I even help students crack tough SAT or ACT problems by stripping away the unnecessary noise. I have taught 133 students how to stop guessing and start calculating with precision. It is a process that requires patience.

Grades do not improve by staring at a textbook for hours on end. I personalize my approach by focusing on the specific gaps in your existing mathematical framework. My 5 years of experience in industry and my academic background allow me to frame abstract concepts in relatable terms. We start by working through a free trial class to identify weak areas.
