About Daisy May
Hello! I'm teacher Daisy, a TEFL-certified educator and graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Generalist. I have experience as a private tutor, freelance online ESL tutor, and on-site teaching intern. I am passionate about helping students improve their English vocabulary, spelling, grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills. I create friendly, engaging, and supportive lessons where students feel comfortable learning, participating, and making mistakes. I use a friendly, engaging, and learner-centered approach that makes English easier and more enjoyable to learn. I begin each lesson by building rapport through a warm greeting, casual conversation, and simple questions to help students feel comfortable and ready to learn. After establishing a positive connection, I introduce the lesson using clear explanations, practical examples, interactive activities, guided practice, and constructive feedback. I also use positive reinforcement to recognize students’ progress, encourage participation, and build their confidence. A typical lesson includes rapport building, a warm-up and review, lesson presentation, practice, and a short conversation or assessment. As a TEFL-certified educator with tutoring experience, Field Study experience, and 360 hours of on-site teaching internship, I adapt lessons to each learner’s level, needs, and learning pace. I teach English vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and pronunciation to beginners and learners who want to improve their communication skills and confidence.
